Dr. Morkel graduated in 1977 from the University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort.
After graduating he worked at Veterinary practices in Viljoenskroon (1978), Klerksdorp (1979) and then managed his own practice in Heilbron from 1980 – 1986, from where he joined WAHG in 1986 and is still a valued Veterinarian and one of the 5 Directors to date.
Dr. Morkel has worked in a mixed Veterinary Practice for the last 44 years and thoroughly enjoys Surgery.
Throughout his professional career, Dr. Morkel always strove to be available to all our valued clients thereby enhancing the service WAHG had to offer. After retiring in 2022 he still assists as a locum for WAHG.
Dr. Morkel is married, has 3 adult children and enjoys cycling and spending time with his family in his free time.
